The Rocky Ride Comfort System is an 8-part innovation. All boots with this system have earned the exclusive "Big Mountain Tested" label by being approved for wear in the most rigorous work conditions.

Part 1 and 2: Orthodic Foot-form and Rear Foot Cradle
The forefoot rests on a soft foot-form with increased thickness in the heel strike zone. A rear foot cradle ensures lateral stability.

Part 3, 4, and 5: Cushioning System
*Upper Enclosed Cushion:
The top layer is a cushioned and perforated foot-piece allowing the foot to roll smoothly from heel to forefoot.

*Enclosed Cushion with the Flex Facilitator:
A second layer of cushioning is attached to the under-side of the foot-piece, housing the flex facilitator that combats rigidity and creates superior flexibility.

*Lower Enclosed Cushion:
This full length EVA footpad absorbs and adds spring to every step. It is extremely lightweight, responsive and functions just like the materials used in high-performance running shoes.

Part 6: Midfoot Stabilizer
This enhanced alternative, fashioned from rigid and durable Thermal Plastic Urethane, replaces the antiquated steel shank. Non-corrosive and barely half the weight of steel, the Rocky Ride stabilizer provides superior support and comfort.

Part 7: Forefoot Propulsion Pad and Rearfoot Landing Pad
This unique two-part, high-cushioned system enhances shock absorbtion, flexibility and comfort making your work days easier.

Part 8: The Rocky Ride Outsole
Our rubber work platform is oil-resistant and provides extra secure footing. The forefoot and rear section contains a softer density to enable sure-footed traction. A right angle heel and embedded safety grooves make the Rocky Ride outsole ideal and safe for all work environments including ladders and stirrups.
